46668 joins the Squadron.
South Sound Composite Squadron is now home to a CAP Van!  46668 has joined N9775H allowing us to support both ground and air missions.  The van will be based at the Olympia Municipal Airport where Capt. Ellie Heston, former Squadron Commander now assigned to the Wing IG Office, has arranged to allow parking at the Lear Hangar.

Acquisition of the van comes just in time to transport South Sound members and equipment to Peninsula Squadron on 15 February for WTA.  Two senior members and four cadets are expected to break in some of the cots that have never been opened at the event, and the van utilized for further transport for event activities.  The tow hitch will come in handy in March to help deliver tents and other materials to the camp exercise from the 29th to the 31st.  Plans are being made for Washington Wing Spring Conference in Yakima on 13 April.

Anyone needing to transport material or personnel for CAP should contact the Acting Transportation Officer, 1st Lt. Scott Dean, our Logistics Officer, SM J.Lynn Alameda, or our Commander, Capt. Percy Newby.  As with the aircraft, any expenses not reimbursed are the responsibility of the driver.
