McChord AFB Composite Squadron hosted seniors and cadets from around the Puget Sound to support the McChord Air Expo.  1st Lt Jon Caverly headed the event which carried taskings from the JBLM Provost's office, Air Show personnel, and vendors.  IACE cadets also visited on Saturday.

Cadets worked a great deal with the public assisting JBLM Security Forces at entry gates, maintaining safety for children at the inflatable attractions, and keeping watch at limited access points.  C/AB Hopper, of McChord Squadron, received a coin from JBLM Base Commander Col Brittain for diffusing a tense confrontation with a parent at the "Boucy House" even before Security Forces arrived to assist.  Col Brittain, a former cadet himself, commended all of the cadets on their work.

Cadets also had the opportunity to see and even touch an F-16 from the USAF Thunderbirds.  One of the crewmen from the Thunderbird Team showed them around Thunderbird 6 and answered as many questions as cadets could ask.
