Meetings are Thursdays from 6pm to about 8:45pm.

Uniforms
PT: Black t-shirt (activity t-shirt or plain black), navy blue athletic shorts or athletic pants, and running shoes. Shorts must not be shorter than mid-thigh. Boots are expressly forbidden during fitness activities.

Working Uniform: Uniforms listed in CAPM 39-1 Chapter 5. This includes ABU, BDU, CFU, and Polo. If you do not have the prescribed uniform, please wear a plain black t-shirt and jeans.
 
Service Uniform: Uniforms specified as such by CAPM 39-1 Table 1-1. Note that the "polo" uniform is also acceptable. If you do not have a uniform, please wear a white or light blue collared shirt or blouse and dark pants or skirt (black, dark blue, or gray are preferred). Skirt lengths should be no higher than the top of the kneecap or lower than the bottom of the kneecap.

Notes: We will be talking about Humility and how that impacts our lives as leaders. Bring note-taking materials and hydration.

Block 2
Subject: Military History

Additional Information: Always make sure to bring water bottles, a notebook, and a writing utensil.

Uniform of the Day: PT Uniform (dark blue shorts or athletic pants, black squadron t-shirt or plain black t-shirt, and athletic shoes. Those in jeans or boots will not be able to participate.)

We will be holding our Health Fitness Zone testing.

Make sure you are hydrating all week, and bring some sort of hydration gear with you!!!

Notes: Remember that you need to schedule any tests a week ahead of time so that we can prepare.

OPEN HOUSE!!!

We will be showcasing Civil Air Patrol for anyone who stops by. This is a great opportunity for family and friends to come and see what we do, and for potential members to find out more about us. Anyone who would like to may join us at the Olympia Armory - 515 Eastside St SE, Olympia, WA.

Opening formation will be at 6pm, and the meeting will run until 8:30pm.

Members should wear their working uniform (uniforms listed in CAPM 39-1 Chapter 5. This includes ABU, BDU, CFU, and Polo). If you do not have the prescribed uniform, please wear a plain black t-shirt and jeans.

Class 1: 
Subject: Disaster Preparedness
We will be discussing what to do n a disaster from an individual perspective and as part of the community. We'll look at creating a Disaster Plan for your home, what to consider and what you may need. Then we'll discuss disaster responses for the area and CAP's possible roles.

When we're through, we will begin preparations for Harbor Days this weekend. (sign up here!).

Make sure you have note-taking materials and your hydration.

For our Physical Training night on 22 August we will not be meeting at the Armory. We will be at Heritage Park. Meet on the lake side of the bathrooms at 520 Water St. This will be the drop-off and pick-up location.

The uniform is our PT uniform - Black t-shirt (CAP activity t-shirt or plain black), navy blue athletic shorts or athletic pants, and running shoes. Shorts must not be shorter than mid-thigh. Boots are expressly forbidden during fitness activities. Bring hydration that you can carry on your person at all times. Cadets who do not have these items will be sent home immediately for safety. Senior Members may wear the PT Uniform or Corporate Working Uniform (Polo), but must wear the PT uniform if participating in athletic activities.

We will be discussing ES opportunities for cadets and adults, how to get started, and our Emergency Response Plan in case of disaster.

Class 2: 
Subject: Team Leadership Problems
We will split into groups and make TLPs ourselves and then teach them to other groups.

NOTE: Cadets will need notebooks and writing utensils. Always bring water. We will attempt ICUT testing and progression testing as available.
